Some helpful hints to match the colour of your new sofa to the rest of the room.

Now that you know what your new sofa will look like, it's time to choose a colour.  Wading through fabric or leather swatches can be an agonising task when it comes to matching your personal style and the practicality of room layout.  These helpful hints will help you on your way to finding the perfect colour solution!

1. Take a look at the room in different light
Our homes are like chameleons, changing the ambience as we go from day to night and this will affect how you feel about your new sofa when it makes it's way into your living room.  naturally darker rooms with dark floors may be better suited to a lighter colour whilst your personal style may lean more toward the cosy feeling of darker colours.

2. Accessorise!

3. Visit a showroom and 'test drive' the covering
Some fabrics have a thicker weave, some will feel smooth to the touch.  Leather and velvet are two very different choices and by testing the covering choice prior to purchasing will give you a good idea of what it is that you find comfortable.

4. Paint swatches
We have fabric and leather samples available to see the full range of customisation options.  If you are having a hard time seeing how your new sofa will look in your room, see how it matches the colour of your walls.  Alternatively if you have your heart set on a colour for the sofa, a new feature wall is a cost effective way to update the room and make your sofa the centrepiece.

5. Match the colour to your floors
If you have dark floors, a great way to brighten the room is with a lighter colour fabric.
